Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA Routing & Switching 200-120)

Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching (CCNA 200-120) is basic certification program by the Cisco Systems. The purpose behind this certification is to set the standards of their engineers so that they can install, configure and troubleshoot small medium size networks. 200-120 is the certification code for this certification.
The devices used in the training programs are routers and switches. In this course we can study the difference between LAN/WAN . We will understand the different protocols like Internet Protocol (IP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Routing Information Protocols (RIP), Frame Relay, Security, VLANs, Ethernet etc, introduction to Wireless concepts etc.

Here on this blog CCNA in Hindi videos are available. So now it is easy for the student who facing difficulty  CCNA CBT Nuggets  which are in English.

CCNA is a very popular networking certification program which is leading to Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and then Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts (CCIE) certifications. There are some other certifications before CCNA, like Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician. When you completed your CCNA certification you can select any Cisco networking specialization e.g. wireless, security, voice,routing/switch, Service provider programs.

There isn't any requirement of certification previous before CCNA Routing & Switching exams (200-120). CCNA certification remains valid for the three years. Approximately 80 percent of the questions must be answered correctly to pass the CCNA test. An exam fee of approximately $295 (USD) will be charged, so it is in the student's best interest to come fully prepared.

Students can use virtual Routers and Switches instead of the real devices if they are not available. Routers and
switches can be expensive for a students. So they can practice for their labs on Packet Tracer or Graphical
Network Simulator (GNS3). These are very user friendly softwares. On Packet Tracer you can prepare for your CCNA exam easily but in next certification you need to use GNS3. GNS3 can help you up to CCIE certification.
